| June 1 , 2007 Jada Pinkett Smith is joining an all-star cast for a remake of the 1939 classic The Women. The remake will also star Meg Ryan, Candace Bergen, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing and Annette Benning. Despite that high-powered cast, the budget for the film is set at a mere $20 million. The original starred Joan "Mommie Dearest" Crawford. The film version of the hit gospel play, Mama I Want to Sing is currently in production in Louisiana. Making her acting debut in the movie musical is singer Ciara. She'll be joined by Patti Labelle and Lynn Whitfield. Fans of the Shrek series will be delighted to know that there are plans for Shrek Four and Shrek Five. However, in other big franchise news, producer Jerry Bruckheimer refused to say that there will be a Pirates of the Caribbean Four. Despite an ending that paves the way for a fourth installment and an expressed interest by Johnny Depp to continue the series, Bruckheimer remained noncommital.
