September 2008: Cindy Canty
	Age: 33 Location: Spartanburg, SC Occupation:Photographer/Graphic Designer Status: Single Children:One Cindy Canty sees through the eyes of an artist with the grounded practicality of a single mom. She approaches her work - photography, graphic design and even fine art painting - with a creative eye that still manages to be grounded in reality. Putting herself through school while raising her son and starting her own photography business hasn't been easy for Cindy but this is one DivaSoulSista who knows what she wants and will make it happen! 1. What is your biggest accomplishment? Graduating from Converse College with a Bachelor of Art Degree 2. Name your favorite movie. The Departed 3. Describe your personal diva style. I'll have to get back to you on that one! 4. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received? Live your life. 5. You look mah-valous! What is your secret?? I drink plenty of water, grab at least 6 hours of sleep a night, and exercise about 4-5 days a week. 6. What's one dream you look forward to having come true? Having people recognize my skills as a photographer. 7. If a movie were made about your life, what actress would play you and who would be your leading man? I don't know. Theren't too many tall plus size black actresses in Hollywood. As for a leading man, I'd have to choose Blair Underwood. 8. What 3 adjectives would your best friend use to describe you? Loyal, Funny, Charismatic 9. What makeup/beauty essential can you absolutely positively not live without? I absolutely must wash my face everynight! Some women do not realize how critical it is to do that and what a difference it makes. I also HAVE TO HAVE my eyeliner. If I don't wear any other make up, I have to wear that. 10. What’s playing on your CD or MP3 player right now? Janet Jackson 11. What is one thing you wish more people knew about you? I wish more people knew how smart I really am and what I have to offer if they would just take the time to get to know me. 12. What, in your opinion, is the formula for success? Keep working hard no matter how impossible the situation may seem. 13. What motivates you? My son, Nicholas JeRon. He is the main reason I have worked so hard for so long.Being a single mom, I had to set the example to  make sure he knew that anything and everything is possible as long as you keep working hard. 14.
