Sheila Goss is the author of My Invisible Husband, an Essence Magazine best seller. The novel tells the story of a woman who fakes a Las Vegas wedding so that people would stop asking her when she's getting married. An accomplished freelance writer (focusing on entertainment and relationship-based articles)her articles have appeared in Jolie (Vivica Fox's new magazine), Black Romance Magazine and Bronze Thrills. Sheila is also an aspiring screenwriter. Her other novel is Roses Are Thorns, Violets are True. Sheila is one DivaSoulSista who is living her dream (and mine!) of being a successful writer.

1. What is your biggest accomplishment?

It's a tie. Graduating from college. I'll never forget the proud look on my parents faces the day I graduated. My other biggest accomplishment is seeing one of my novels on the Essence magazine best sellers list.

2. Name your favorite movie.

Another tie. Sparkle/Love Jones/The Color Purple. All three of those movies are classics to me. No matter how many times I watch them, I am drawn into the story.

3. Describe your personal diva style.

When it comes to business: Tell me what you want, when you want it and let's make it happen.

When it comes to life: I treat others with respect and expect the same in return.

When it comes to relationships: I'm an independent woman, so a man has to be secure within himself and not be intimidated by who I am or what I do.

When it comes to shopping: I am a sales magnet. I love nice things, but I'm a bargain shopper. The only thing I pay full price for is my perfume.

4. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

If you don't believe in yourself, than who will.

5. You look mah-valous! What is your secret??

Drink plenty of water and use Dove soap :)

6. What's one dream you look forward to having come true?

Seeing one of my screenplays produced. I can't wait to walk the red carpet to one of my own movie premieres.

7. If a movie were made about your life, what actress would play you and who would be your leading man?

Queen Latifah without a doubt. She's beautiful but down to earth (which I think describes me). My leading man would have to be tall and handsome, so I would say Cedric Ceballos. I recall seeing those two in an episode of Living Single so it would be a reunion for them (smile).

8. What 3 adjectives would your best friend use to describe you?

Loyal, trustworthy, creative

9. What makeup/beauty essential can you absolutely positively not live without?

M.A.C. "Shock-o-late" lipglass (not gloss). I never leave home without it.

10. What's playing on your CD or MP3 player right now?

Mary J Blige "The Breakthrough" CD

11. What is one thing you wish more people knew about you?

I love to dance.

12. What, in your opinion, is the formula for success?

Dedication and hard-work.

13. What motivates you?

Life motivates me. I know that God has given me certain talents and I want to use them wisely so I work hard at what I do.

14. Complete this sentence: "One year from now I would like to...

Be on a movie set for one of my films.

15. Sum up your personal philosophy.

To work hard, love hard and enjoy life--because you only live once.
